What to do in the Barossa along Seppeltsfield Road

Seppeltsfield Road is home to Seppeltsfield Estate where it's now very easy to spend a day doing wine and also non-wine activities as well as attend major events or enjoy a casual lunch at Benno's Kiosk.

If you love shopping, visit the Jam Factory at Seppeltsfield. Located within Seppeltsfield Estate, the retail shop is open 7 days and incorporates a contemporary craft & design studio, gallery and shop. Co-located with local artisans, including a knifemaker, milliner and shoe maker, Jam Factory creates another layer to experience whilst visiting the Barossa.

Seppeltsfield Road offers the opportunity to not only soak up some culture - but also to burn off those wine calories! The road is perfect for an early morning walk, run or bike ride where you can be absorbed by the vistas and vines.

Or how about some tennis at the Marananga Tennis courts while admiring the spectacular vineyard views between serves? If you are feeling really energetic, you can run up the steps of the Seppelt Family Mausoleum, built on the highest hill overlooking the Seppeltsfield Valley. We also have some fantastic Barossa tour companies along the road, check out our Ballooning businesses below to get a birds eye view of palm avenue!

Serving the community for over 150 years, one of the most beautiful churches in the Barossa is Gnadenfrei St Michael’s Lutheran Church. Services are held each Sunday and this church remains an important place in the lives of the locals, who are always happy for visitors to join their services and community events. They even produce a wine called “Mixed Blessings” made from 12 different varieties of grapes donated by members of the church parish. Fancy some big, brassy sound? Why not head on down to the Marananga Band Hall on a Tuesday evening at 8pm to hear the band practice? They love sharing their passion with visitors and have been doing so for over 80 years!
