Barossa Vintage Festival
April 24 @ 8:00 am - April 28 @ 5:00 pm
The biannual Barossa Vintage Festival is on again in 2019.
Acknowledged as the largest and longest running wine tourism event in Australia, the festival dates back to 1947 when the Barossa community first got together to celebrate the end of grape harvest and vintage.
The Barossa Vintage Festival has always been a celebration ‘by Barossans for Barossans’ to which we invite the rest of the world to celebrate with us and immerse themselves in food and wine experiences, against the back drop of Barossan history and heritage.
The 2017 events (which also celebrated the 70th year of the Barossa Vintage Festival) saw over 90 dynamic events showcasing the Barossa’s wine, food, culture and heritage. The 2019 Festival celebrates the 40th anniversary of Ziegenmarkt, which is undoubtedly a highlight of the biennial program.
The Barossa Vintage Festival will be held from 24-29 August 2019. In respect of ANZAC Day, no events will be programmed prior to 12 noon on April 25.
